The Giving Hand Foundation is dedicated to promoting the development of dental clinics which provide free services to needy individuals in North Carolina and selected Third World Countries. The Giving Hand Foundation focuses its efforts on individuals, churches and civic organizations that rely strongly on volunteer efforts where foundation support and guidance will make a significant impact on the establishment of successful long term dental clinics which will be operated to benefit needy individuals without regard to race, religion, or political views.
The Giving Hand Foundation funds three primary areas:
Start up of new dental free clinics primarily in churches, nursing homes, orphanages, and other facilities which have a tradition of service to the needy. Provision of educational assistance grants to promising needy students interested in the health care professions. Funding of world mission efforts with an emphasis on providing supplies and assisting with travel and support for those individuals willing to volunteer to do mission work, but who are unable to afford to fund themselves.
The Giving Hand Foundation will operate and support dental free clinics as part of it’s normal operations. However, the Foundation is particularly interested in assisting with the start- up of clinics with the ultimate goals of: Establishing a renewable and on-going financial basis so that each clinic can be self-supporting once it is up and operational; and establish individuals in key leadership positions so that each clinic can ultimately operate independently from the foundation.
The Foundation will support the cooperative efforts of individuals, churches, government organizations and private businesses in promoting its goals.
